What is happening?
Azerbaijan's e-Sosial, a key government app and portal since 2019, handles social services for 2.7 million users—covering pensions, unemployment benefits, labor contracts, disability aid, and insurance reports via 150+ e-services. It's the "Unified Social Registry" under the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection.
On April 3, 2026, the Ministry announced shutdown from May 1, 2026, as services fully integrate into MyGov (my.gov.az)—the national e-government platform with 400+ services, single login, and digital ID. This is Azerbaijan's first full ministry migration, part of the 2026–2028 Digital Development Action Plan for unified "single window" access, funded by €43 million from EIB.
Users face no disruptions: download or update the MyGov app; all data transfers seamlessly. The move cuts redundancy, boosts efficiency, and aligns with global e-gov trends like Estonia's systems. MyGov, with 2M+ users, won WSIS awards and now links to 100+ state systems. Check e-social.gov.az for guides.
