HoYoverse announced on August 5–6, 2025, the discontinuation of Genshin Impact support on PS4 due to "limitations related to hardware performance and platform application size" as the game's world expands (e.g., Natlan, Snezhnaya). This three-phase plan ensures future content viability on newer platforms. Phase 1: PS4 version removed from PlayStation Store September 10, 2025 (07:00 UTC+8), but existing installs playable and redownloadable.
